CARMARTHENSHIRE BUILDING REGULATIONS UNIT
The Building Regulations Unit forms part of the Planning Services Department and is located at St. David’s Park, Carmarthen.
Carmarthenshire has a vast potential for domestic, industrial and commercial development opportunities and the Building Regulations Unit is geared up to respond to the needs of Architects and Designers.
The Building Regulations Unit is especially keen to become involved in your project as early as possible in order that we may provide advice and assistance during the design stage.
All applications can be processed through a development team approach. Joint meetings can be arranged with representatives form the Development Control Department, Highways, Fire Authority, etc, to ensure that the project can progress as smoothly as possible to approval stage.
A number of initiatives are available with a variety of information booklets and guidance notes.
Our Building Regulations inspection service is designed to impact as little as possible on the progress of your project; same day inspections are a normal part of the service delivery, provided you call the office before 10am. All building control surveyors are contactable though mobile phones.
In addition to the enforcement of the Building Regulations, the division is also responsible for demolitions, dangerous structures and safety at sports grounds.
